Bhoopadathil Illatha Oridum, is a satirical movie based on the everyday happenings in our villages touching the lives of the community, family and relatives. This particular village has a school teacher Madhavan Kutty who is liked by one and all.
Madhavan Kutty is a double post-graduate who had resigned his lucrative teaching job in a famous city college to come and work in this interior village. Many are puzzled by his decision to leave all the comforts for the sake of life in this little corner. One of them is Vimala, Madhavan Kutty’s wife who stays back in the city.
She wants him to come more often than the monthly or weekly visits and carry out many of the household duties which are being done by her. If she raises these complaints, Madhavan Kutty just walks out of the house and won’t be back for many days.
In his village house, Madhavan Kutty keeps an orphan boy with him and helps him in his studies. Bhama is a young and attractive housemaid who helps Madhavan Kutty with house work
MadhavanKutty’s naivety gets him into tricky situations and the same villagers turn against him. Even his wife Vimala, without knowing the facts, turns hostile. The humorous moments when the quiet and good-hearted Madhavan Kutty comes across these accusations are illustrated on the screen in ‘Bhoopadathil Illatha Oridum’.
